Welcome to Red Oak II, transplanted town, Lowell Davis's largest canvas.
The artist Lowell Davis has moved an entire pioneer town from its original site, 25 miles away and reassembled it here. The buildings here have been preserved as a credible replica of a crossroads town, circa 1929. Stop and see the antique Phillips 66 station, a general store, a blacksmith's shop, a feed store, school house, and an old country church. There is not admission fee. Stop by and and take a step back in time. Thanks to Judy, Larry and Lowell for allowing me to place this cache at one of my favorite places.
I would strongly encourage you to park near the entrance, before crossing the bridge and walk to the caches, in order to fully enjoy the beauty of the town.
