Geocache Description:

Test your Scrabble expertise!

This cache is NOT located at the above coordinates! It is within one mile of that spot. To determine the actual location, you must first play a short game of Scrabble to plug in the actual coordinates.

I was so impressed by Dasindog's log for Scrabble #1 that I decided to use naughty words this time around. However, because this is a family channel, I didn't go overboard with expletives.

Scrabble #3

The words were placed in this sequence:

1. CRAP (the P is on the center tile)

2. POOP

3. DAMMIT (which also created the word DO)

4. DOOFUS (an expansion of DO)

5. SOB (consider the acronym)

6. YOBBO (British slang)

7. BASTARD

8. WANKER (British slang -- not in the official Scrabble dictionary, but we liked it so much that we used it anyway)

Carefully calculate the total number of points for each move. When you have done that, you should be able to solve the following pattern:

N 45° AA.BBC W 122° DD.EFF

AA = The sum of the points for words 5 and 7.

BB = The sum of the points for words 2, 3, 7, and 8.

C = The points for word 2.

DD = The sum of the points for words 3 and 6.

E = The points for word 5.

FF = The sum of the points for words 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8.

You can check your answers at Geochecker.com. If your coordinates are not matching up with the coordinate checker, we suggest that you review the scoring rules. In particular, pay close attention to rules 3, 4, 5, and 7 with respect to premium word/letter squares (and please do not use Dasindog's scoring suggestions).

You are looking for a plastic Lock-and-Lock container. Please make sure that the container is completely closed, and cover it with natural camo after you replace it. There will probably be muggles at this location, so be stealthy.
