It's happened to all of us. We plot out a route only to find that our maps aren't accurate. The streets are clearly shown on the map but in reality they just don't exist.
Some mapping companies purposely place non-existent streets on maps for copyright reasons. In this way, they know if their maps were copied. Other problems arise when townships plan subdivisions that are never realized. This puzzle deals with streets clearly shown on Google maps but in reality it is parkland.
You're looking for streets that correspond to popular first names. Here's an etymological hint:
One name is Germanic meaning "home ruler" The other is Scottish meaning "dark river"
If the names seem familiar it is no coincidence. This cache is dedicated to two popular geocachers who not only worked for the BCGA but have been an inspiration and a great help to many geocachers across the Lower Mainland. These two geocachers are responsible for organizing the original BCGA Cache Blitz -- British Columbia's first geocache placing event.
The centre of the intersection is marked by eight sisters seen clearly from a distance. However, to promote park friendly geocaching the cache itself is located 8 meters south of the eight sisters beside a well used trail. No Bushwhacking required. No stepping off the trail is required. The cache is reachable right from the trail so there is no need to step off the path. This trail is no doubt busy at certain times of the day. Please watch out for muggles and rehide the cache exactly as found. This includes adding a bit of leaf litter as cammo to the top of the hidey container and doing your best to cover your tracks. Good luck.
