Geocache Description:

From the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society -

The City of Newnan was founded in 1828 after the area was opened for settlement in the Land Lottery of 1827. Many of the early settlers who came to the county became large landowners, successful farmers and businessmen, scholars, governors, representatives in local, state and national government, and accomplished professionals in many areas. As their farming and businesses flourished, they began to build the fine homes for which Newnan and Coweta County are known.

This seven stage multicache is intended to briefly introduce you to just a few of these homes which, remarkably for the area, survived the devastating effects of the Civil War.

At each home you'll be required to gather information which will be used to calculate the coordinates for the final container location. While some of the information is available online, you must visit the property to get all the information you need. Good luck and enjoy the tour!

Final Container Location: N33 2Y.YYY W084 4Z.ZZZ

Now it's time to take the tour off the pavement. The container has been recycled from this cache and has proven to be well-camo'd and weather proof. To solve the coordinates just plug-in what you've already found and apply some math:

YYYY = (A + B + C + D + E + F) + (F x H x (J + K)) - (I + J + K + L)
ZZZZ = D x (G + H + I + J + K + L) + (A x E) + F

If you really need to check your numbers, solve the following algebraic formulae:

(ZZZZ - G - H) / (I + K) = (I x (J + L)) + K
(C - YYYY) / F = (A x E) + (E + F) - (D x B)

This is one of the caches in the series "Newnan, The City of Homes" that you will need to find that has partial coordinates on the front page of the log book for finding the final bonus cache
