World Wide Flash Mob V
Come out and join GEO for WWFM V. A Flash Mob is a large group
of people who assemble in a public place, perform an unusual action
for a brief time and quickly disperse. Read more about them in this
article. For this year's World Wide Flash Mob,
hundreds of these geocaching events are being planned for the
precise same time all around the world. Just check the
geocaching.com event calendar to read more about them.
Here's our plan for this year's WWFM. We need a large group of
people to gather at Clackamas Towne Center. We need for each of you
to wear as much green as possible. We will assemble together to
walk a short path through the mall in a single-file line, and then
quickly sign a log and disperse. Remember these three elements are
critical for a Flash Mob: large group in a public place, unusual
action, quickly disperse. So we will closely follow this
schedule:
- 9:45am - 9:55am: Arrive at Clackamas Towne Center; park near
the specified coordinates, but do not leave your vehicle. If you
arrive via mass transit, linger somewhere off in the distance until
the appropriate time. Then, promptly at
- 9:58 - 9:59am: Leave your vehicle and make your way to the
specified coordinates.
- 10:00am: Meet at specified coordinates.
- 10:01am: Form a single-file line behind the leader. The leader
will be obvious when you arrive.
- 10:01 - 10:10am: The line will make its way through the mall on
a predetermined path. We must be silent during this time; please no
talking. We must look "unusual."
- 10:10am: The line will end at a nearby location to sign a log.
We will also raffle off a
WWFM V geocoin. Once the winner of the
raffle has been called, we will immediately disperse.
Have fun and let's make a spectacle of ourselves.
