On May 2, 2000, the US government stopped the intentional degradation of the Global Positioning System (GPS) signals available to the public (a.k.a. "Selective Availability").
On September 2, 2000, Geocaching.com site was officialy launched.
Nine years later, Geocaching is still unkown in Argentina and we think it is time to do something about, don't you ?

Want to meet other Geocachers in the area?
We invite all Geocachers (local and visitors), their families, friends and those interested in learning more about Geocaching to attend this free event! We welcome any donations that can be used as door prizes. And of course, this is a Geocaching event so do not forget to bring your GPS with you!
If you happen to be in or near Buenos Aires, stop by Hooters Puerto Madero on October 10, 2009 at noon (12pm) (the coordinates will guide you to Hooters).
We don't expect to see a bunch of people here, so we assume it will not be neccesary to book few tables in advance.
However, please be sure to log your intention to attend as soon as possible!
Be sure to indicate how many people will be attending with you!
It would be advantageous for us to have us as many "Will Attend"s as soon as possible!

FAQ: How do I notify my intention to attend ?.
It is easy: just click on "log your visit" and then choose "Will Attend" (instead of "Write note") as the Type of log.
