Geocache Description:

This cache is one of four caches in my classical elements series. This cache is located in Mayfield Heights, Ohio

The Greek Classical Elements (Earth, Water, Air, and Fire) date from pre-Socratic times and persisted throughout the Middle Ages and into the Renaissance, deeply influencing European thought and culture. A Greek philosopher named Empedocles is credited with the cosmogenic theory of these four elements being the root of all existing matter. Unfortunately, much of Empedocles’ writing has been lost, but his ideas remain with us today and are widely accepted by most Pagans and Wiccans.

Air is one of the four classical elements in ancient Greek philosophy and science. According to Plato, air is considered to be both hot and wet. The ancient Greeks used two words for air: aer meant the dim lower atmosphere, and aether meant the bright upper atmosphere above the clouds.

For the Pagans and Wiccans, air is connected to the soul and the breath of life. If you’re doing a working related to communication, wisdom or the powers of the mind, Air is the element to focus on. Air carries away your troubles, blows away strife, and carries positive thoughts to those who are far away.

The cache has a log/stamp book, ink pad, and stamp. If you have your own personal stamp, stamp the log or just sign it. If you have your own log book, stamp it with the stamp I provided.

**DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOCATE THIS CACHE FROM THE FREEWAY.**

**PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE STAMP OR STAMP PAD WITH YOU.**
