A scenic drive from Ft. Davis to Valentine -- a nice wide paved parking place.
We spotted this ideal place for a cache on our way from Fort Davis to Valentine to look at the Prada Art display. We visit the Fort Davis area every few months and the Davis Mountain State Park is our favorite camping place. While here we always drive over to Marfa for live entertainment and good food and art galleries. We go to Alpine for the museums and rock shops.
Geocaching has added to the fun of our visits. The container is a Cool Aid plastic container (screw-on lid) covered with camo duct tape. It contains a log book, Texas Tech Champion button, "You are special" refrigerator magnate, belt key chain, compass, toy sailor. Sorry, we didn't have a small pen or pencil, so you will need to bring your own. Watch out for the usual desert critters.
