Negli anni Cinquanta e Sessanta furono fatti esplodere
nell'atmosfera, a scopo sperimentale, numerosi ordigni nucleari.
Negli anni successivi diversi studiosi sostennero che il fallout
conseguente a questi esperimenti aveva prodotto danni all'uomo e
all'ambiente; tale danno fu, tuttavia, ufficialmente riconosciuto
solo nel 1984.

for experimental verification, several nuclear devices. In the
successive years differents studies, supported that the
consequences of fallout had produced damages to people and
atmosphere; such damage was, however, officially recognized only in
1984
