Bridge made famous by the 1889 Johnstown Flood. Its stone appearance is only visible from this side due to railroad track expansion on the opposite side. The bridge blocked the flood wave from continuing downstream to cause further damage, but it collected the flood debris trapping many of the victims. To view that perspective, cachers should visit the nearby Flames of Hell cache.
The cache is accessible directly from the Iron Street Trail that connects Downtown Johnstown to Cambria City. DO NOT search for it from the road. The Point of Interest is ADA accessible. The cache container itself may require assistance. Parking across Iron Street adjacent to the posted coordinates is limited to JWF employees only. Violators vehicles will be confiscated and installed as test track obstacles for the humvee replacement vehicle, being developed on this site.
This cache may be temporarily disabled and removed during Thunder in the Valley and Flood City Music Festival due to the high concentration of muggles during that period. Point of interest is accessible year-round, but the cache container itself may be inaccessible in winter.
