Buried Creek Traditional Cache
jezarocks: With the info from Trailrunning I think I'll have to put this one to rest. From memory there weren't a great number of hiding spots nearby in this park. So archiving seems like the only option.

My first cache hidden in a nice little valley.
Having reached my 50th cache find, I thought it was time to try hiding one myself.
The cache is hidden just off the Ferndale Trail near Summerhill Park. The trail follows the bed of a creek, which is obviously buried. It is also not far from the Anniversary Trail (also known as the Outer Circle Rail Trail), a popular bike path, which runs alongside the Alamein railway line in this area. If arriving by public transport, it's approximately a five minute walk to reach this park from Ashburton station.
There are also a few picnic tables and a playground at S37°51.469 E145°04.914 for anyone with geokids. If you're out cycling then this park is also a nice resting place.
The cache is a 200ml Sistema container (small swaps only). Please be careful not to damage the vegetation and to re-hide the cache as you found it. It's also a popular area with dog walking muggles, so be aware.
Also BYO pen.
