Romànic Alta Garrotxa: Sant Feliu de Riu Traditional Cache

Església situada en el sector nord-oest de la serra de Guitarriu, sobre la riba esquerra de la riera de Sant Aniol.

És una construcció del segle XII, d’una nau i volta apuntada. L’absis a llevant, és semicircular amb una finestra al centre. La part més interessant és la façana, amb la porta d’entrada amb tres arcs en degració, Damunt seu una finestra on es pot admirar una ornamentació semicircular formada per dents de serra. El campanar d’espadanya amb doble obertura s’assenta sobre la paret ponentina.

A la darreria del segle XVI va perdre les seves funcions de parroquia passant a dependre de Santa Cecília de Sadernes.

Church placed in the northwest sector of the cliffs ofGuitarriu, on the left shore of the stream of Sant Aniol.
It is a construction of the 12th century, of a plant and turn pointed out. The apse in east, is semicircular with a window in the center. The most interesting part is the façade, with the door of entry with three arches in degration, On it a window where a formed semicircular ornamentation by teeth of saw can be admired. The belfry with double opening settles on the western wall.

At the end of the 16th century it lost its functions of parish going to depending on Santa Cecília de Sadernes.
