Moral Kiosk is a song from the 1983 R.E.M. “Murmur” album. Developing a strong following through relentless touring, R.E.M. spearheaded the alternative music scene springing from Athens, Georgia. College radio stations embraced the group and they quickly became the darlings of music critics everywhere.
Rolling Stone Magazine selected “Murmur” as album of the year. Keep in mind, the competition in 1983 included Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” The Police’s “Synchronicity,” and U2’s “War.”
