Past, present and future in the Circle of Life are represented at this site. A new baby is baptized in the 1858 baptismal font as the spirit of their grandmother or grandfather watches nearby from the columbarium. The Celtic Cross with its inset circle is from the 1911 church building in downtown Nashville which was located at 17th and Edgehill. Past, present and future, all are kept with honor at this, the newest site of Advent Episcopal Church.
This place has a very special meaning to me. My parents were married in this church, my sister was baptized in the 1858 baptismal font and my grandparents, Judith Shultz Light and Richard Theodore Light, rest in the columbarium that was built in honor of my great grandparents, Theodore and Nina Light.
