Geocache Description:

This is a daughter cache coming from Raleigh, NC. There are several
Quack caches surrounding Lake Johnson and one of them,
Mother Quack
, supplies its finders with new Quack caches. We
figured "what better place for a quack cache than Duck, NC?".
THERE IS NO PARKING NEARBY so you will need to walk or bike
there. It's near to the Duck research pier.

The Duck Research Pier was established in 1977 by the Army Corps
of Engineers and is an internationally recognized coastal
observatory. The pier instruments record changing waves, winds,
tides, currents and (most important to me and the other locals) the
water tempurature. There are tours in the summer starting in
mid-June Monday through Friday starting at 10am.
