Geocache Description:

Cache is located on Tipner Marshes on a small patch of scrubland between the sailing club and the shooting ranges. Don't worry though; It's on the side furthest from the ranges! Cache is easily accessible although probably not wheelchair-friendly. There are a few brambles and stinging nettles around before you get to the coast but the footpaths are usually clear.

Bear in mind you do not need to pass through the sailing club to reach the cache.

This is an area that I've become quite fond of in the past year or so - a nice little piece of Portsmouth that few people seemingly bother with. Nearby are the Tipner Ranges and a school, as well as a sailing club.

There's a bit of interesting history to this area - an additional junction from the M275 was left unfinished. You can read more about this here and here and see photos of where it should have been here (check out the bottom ones).

The cache is a transparent lock-lid Tupperware container about 15x15x10cm. At time of hiding it contained a keyring calculator, a Spider-man pin badge, and a copy of Wanted as a treat for the FTF. It also contains a 27-shot disposable camera, so please take some pictures of yourself and of the scenery! The first two pictures are of myself and fellow cacher sciolilingua. Please mention in your log how many pictures are left on the camera!
