Geocache Description:

### Bring your own pen, pencil or stamp ####

This easy cache is located on the old water board road that runs through the old Temple Lands Of Lettre, following the water pipes to Blanefield and ultimately Glasgow.

The Branziert means either "Black Height" or "stinking", according to Johnston’s 'The place names of Stirlingshire' and was the site of a farm until it became part of the Lettre Estate. The original farm building have gone, being replaced with two newer houses.
The Lettre consists of the Temple lands of the Lettre, and the lands called Machar, which, like the Spittal of Ballewan, are believed to have been granted to the Knights Templar by one of the early Earls of Lennox.
