Geocache Description:

Located on the ridge line of Schunemunk Mountain on the Jessup Trail (blue/yellow)

A long difficult climb will await you when you go after this cache. The Views along the way from the many vistas of this mountain will be worth the effort. You can approach the cache from either the north or south or you can make this part of an up to sixteen cache through hike if you wish (9 3/4 mile). NY/NJ trail Conference map 114 might be useful to have if you make the trip. Good hiking shoes are a must and a walking stick will come in handy too. Be sure to bring plenty of water and some snacks and allow yourself plenty of time to make the trip no matter which way you decide to go. This cache was upgraded to a small from a micro on 11/29/09. There is room to trade small items and TB's . This cache is just about in the center of three other caches Its All Downhill From Here, Pudding Stone, and Schunemunk Scamper.Have Fun, Be Careful, and Enjoy this nice area! ...............This cache holds permit number GC109SF as issued by the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historical Preservation which expires on 4/21/2011
