DaFoosa: Well, it's time to archive the listing of the introduction to geocaching event. We had fun and we introduced this great hobby to some new people. Since the event we've seen several of the new people become very active cachers, and, thanks to you hiding new caches, we've been able to do more geocaching in Kneehill County. Thanks to the noobies for getting so involved and being so creative in hiding caches.

Geocache Description:

An event geared to teach the basics of geocaching!

In an effort to grow the geocaching community in Kneehill County, the Three Hills Municipal Library is hosting a seminar that teaches the basics of geocaching to anyone interested. The event will take place on Thursday, May 7 from 6:30 till 8:30 pm at the Provincial Building. At the event we will gain an understanding of how GPS works, and we'll walk through setting up an account at Geocaching.com, how to find, log, and hide caches, and look at several different types of GPSrs. We hope to have several laptop computers available to use. However, if you can bring your own, that's even better yet! As well, we hope to hunt for a couple caches in town to give everyone a little experience. The event is open to more experienced cachers. Please come prepared to share your experience and don't forget to bring your gadgets to show off! One more thing... Since we would like to get some "new" people involved with this great hobby, and since those "new" people may not visit this website, we would love for you to bring some interested people! Hope to see you at the event!
