A micro hidden above Palomares Hills in Castro Valley
This is a micro just hangin' around in the rolling hills to the north of Palomares Hills. The hike can be done in one of two ways: from the Palomares Hills #4 water tower cache by IrishJen GC1H1DM and staying along the hilltops OR going from the coordinates along the way I will list below.
Either way, the hike will be strenuous and difficult. This trip is not recommended for small children and those with respiratory or cardiac difficulties. Trails are nonexistent up here and the grasses and brush are more than knee-high. I have assigned a terrain rating of 4 to reflect this! Sometimes it's nice to get out for a good, tough (but fairly short) hike. Do this one during the day ONLY!
The cache itself is a camo'd tube I found in a cache up north and refitted for this hide. Its dimensions are 3 X length and 1 X width of a film can. It contains a log and stash note in ziploc, a pen and a frog for the FTF. Very small/narrow/flat trade items only will fit. Now on to the points along the way.

Good Luck and Happy Caching!
