Geocache Description:

This cache is in Ashill Common; 39 acres of grassland and Gorse thickets, and a haven for wildlife. In Spring the site is home to vast numbers of birds; Warblers, Linnets, Buntings, White-throats, and Skylarks.
Panworth Ditch is also located on this site. It was probably constructed during the 6th or 7th century and would have served as a boundary between petty kingdoms, allowing tolls to be charged and passage of goods to be controlled (now it provides a perfect nesting site for linnets!)

A small clip-on lid plastic container started with two geocoins, a Great tit RSPB badge, and log book and pencil.
There is free car parking at the common car park located down Dunnets Close at N52 36.721 E000 47.838.
