oakwood pond Traditional Cache
ravision: Someone actually came with a shovel and dug this one up. I would like to get another container up in its location but, I will need longer than the time listed as "reasonable amount". This area is a high muggle area and its not the first time that things (I had a newly placed geocoin disappear out of this cache before it even got any miles logged on it) have gone missing at this location. I will look into getting a new container only after I research the area better. Thanks to all who have visited and to those who have been patient with me and this cache. This will be the first cache that I have ever had to archive and I have known for some time that this day would come (getting a reviewer note). I just prided myself in not having a archived cache. I guess I was just trying to put it off as long as possible.

Welcome to oakwood pond. This cache is located near a small grassy area that acts as a retention pond during times of high water.
oakwood pond is the first cache, we as a family, have placed together. This is a very kid friendly cache. Kids of all ages should be able to enjoy this cache.
In placing this cache, we tried to take into consideration the placement of this cache to avoid "peering eyes/houses" (which overlook the park), but as always, please use stealth.
This is a great cache for trading/moving travel bugs and geocoins. We have tried to place some “high-end” geoswagg in this cache, lets keep it this way. With fair trading we all can enjoy this great sport/game.
The Original Contents of the Cache are as Follows:
New Micro Cache Canister – for the FTF (first to find) take it and place it well.
Match Box – Great for micro caches
Flexable Laser Light (with magnetic base) – great for travel bugs.
Custom Log Book – Georules included.
Pencil– for signing the log.
Bottle Holder with Carabiner – great for travel bugs or for taking a drink of water on the geocaching trail.
Carabiner (Black) – great for travel bugs or just clipping something on your pack while on the geocaching trail.
Carabiner (Purple) – great for travel bugs or just clipping something on your pack while on the geocaching trail.
2 Pigs – because this is a family cache, my daughter wanted to put two of her stuffed toy pigs in the cache, so that they could travel the country.
Congratulations go out rockrat1 on find 500, with or without me. Glad it was spent on one of my own. Keep on caching, rockrat1.
