The Cayuga Trail is a long loop trail which will take you to the western edge of the park. The cache is near the end of the trail’s loop. You will not need to leave the path until you are about 75 feet from the cache. If you continue down the trail another 200 feet or so where it begins to turn back to the east, you will get a nice view of the southern edge of Pine Lake.
If you choose to complete the entire loop of the Cayuga Trail after finding the cache, you will walk about 2.2 miles. For the shortest route, stick to the southern end of the trail going in and coming out. Be prepared for mud and be sure to bring your bug spray!
