Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small, water-proof container.

The park is great for fishing, hiking, playing, picnicing, nature watching...there's something for everyone.

This is a kid friendly cache originally containing a few critters, some trinkets and a pathtag. You are looking for a small, water-proof container. The cache is accessible from both the paved walking trail and the nearby hiking trail. No bushwacking required, but watch out for snakes, and possible poison ivy or poison oak.

Permission was obtained from the park manager to place the cache.

This cache was placed to commemorate the 1st annual Aiken Kiwanis One Day. Approximately 40 volunteers joined together for a day of hands-on service at Boyd Pond Park. Volunteers from the community and members from Aiken Kiwanis Club, USC Aiken Circle K Club, Silver Bluff High School Key Club, Midland Valley High School Key Club, and Leavelle McCampbell Middle School Builders Club spent the day clearing away brush from the pond to create a clearer view from the nearby picnic area.

Congrats to Kyndrid for FTF!
