tank mtn is one of the highest local elevations at 7216 ' and has panoramic views. park at 36 56.761/107 48.950. this is a .3 m walk with 394' elevation gain. head for the gap in the big rocks at about 36 56.617/107 48.866. there is a spur with shade and level ground at 36 56.530/107 48.907 just below the final climb. there is a benchmark on top-gn0669.(there is also another glass jar placed by a colorado benchmarker). log and pencil only. access from cty 2770.
