Geocache Description:

The Hard Hat cache containers are back-to-back clear plastic jars. The overall size is about 3" dia x 7" long. One half serves as a display case for a mini-batting helmet for one of the 30 major league teams, the other half is a small cache container. Please don't try to unscrew the display side jar.

The Detroit Tigers are a Major League Baseball team based in Detroit, Michigan. One of the American League's eight charter franchises, the club was founded in Detroit in 1894. The Tigers constructed Bennett Park at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Trumbull Avenue and began playing there in 1896. In 1912, the team moved into Navin Field, which was built on the same location. In 1938, a substantially-improved facility, Briggs Stadium, was built, and it was renamed Tiger Stadium, in 1961. The Tigers last won the World Series in 1984. From 2000 to the present, the Tigers have played in Comerica Park.
