An unusual natural formation in Franny Reese State Park, Highland.
The hide is located less than a quarter of a mile from the Mack’s Lane trailhead (coordinates provided). There is a very well-defined trail that will take you within about 200 feet of the cache, which is located to the east of the trail.
Update: As of 10/4/09, the trailhead and parking area have been relocated up what used to be the trail and is now a drive. They are now a mere 450 feet from the cache. There is also a new information kiosk with trail maps and other information.
The cache is a 6” x 6” x 3” plastic container hidden in a larger container which is intended to blend in with its surroundings.
While you’re here, be sure to visit Yeahoh’s “A Walk Through Time” (GC1JH98) and “Serenity Now” (GC1JHAK), GKMan’s “The Old Estate” (GCP8WP), and JMonti's "Daydreaming Off the White Trail" (GC2AEKY), all of which provide beautiful views of the Hudson and very enjoyable hikes.
This park is owned and managed by Scenic Hudson (www.scenichudson.org). Individuals seeking geocaches do so at their own risk and must follow the park rules listed on the park’s kiosk. This cache was placed with the permission of Scenic Hudson.
