Bridge Point is located just East of Bridge Mountain in Red Rock.
This is a difficult hike with a LOT of exposure and several Class
IV sections. You should be in excellent hiking shape and
comfortable on Class IV rock to attempt this hike.
The cache itself is hidden near the peak, under a large rock,
covered by a few smaller ones. Take a look at the spoiler picture
if you'd like. It is a small tin with room for small items.
There are a few different ways to this elusive peak. I hiked down
to the hidden forest to the east of Bridge Mountain and traversed a
series of ledges to Bridge Point. There was a lot of exposure this
way. There is also a way to ascend via Pine Creek. This way is very
steep and there is a lot of loose rock and exposure. If you would
like a detailed hike description, I believe you can get it from
www.hikinglasvegas.com.
Again, this hike is not for the faint of heart, anyone out of
shape, or anyone afraid of heights. I wouldn't attempt it on a
windy day.
Make sure to sign the peak log while you're up there too! It should
be in the large rock cairn. THE PEAK LOG IS NOT THE CACHE!
Congrats to PhantomWSO for FTF!
