Geocache Description:

Velniakampio kilpa (Velniakampis loop) is one of biggest and nicest Neris river loops. You will enjoy a view. There is a new (built on 2008) and very beautiful 4 km long pathway. Enjoy walking.

Velniakampis loop(EN)
In the Neris Regional Park there are 11 nature reserves, the biggest of which is Velniakampis landscape reserve (its area is 3249 ha). The axis of the lanscape reserve is the great turn of Velniakampis, which looks like a mushroom and the length of which is 16 km while the width at the isthmus is only 2 km.
You will enjoy a nice view of great turn of Velniakampis ant steep shores of river.

Velniakampio kilpa(LT)
Neries regioniniame parke yra 11 draustiniu, kuriu didžiausias – Velniakampio kraštovaizdžio draustinis (plotas 3249 ha). Draustinio ašis – grybo formos didžioji Velniakampio kilpa. Jos ilgis 16 km, o plotis sasmaukoje – tik 2 km. Išraityti Velniakampio kilpa upe priverte žemes gelmiu tektoniniai lužiai ir sudetingas ledyno tirpsmo procesas. Labai vaizdingas giliai slenyje prasmegusios Neries sukurtas kraštovaizdis. Slenio šlaitai virš upes vagos iškyla 60–80 m.
Ties posukiais ypac stipri upes srove dažnai suformuoja atodangas. Atodanga – tai vieta, kur nuslinkus augaliniam sluoksniui atsidengia ivairiu nuogulu sluoksniai. Skardis, ant kurio Jus esate, prieš keleta dešimtmeciu šis buvo atvira atodanga, taciau pasikeitus gamtinems salygoms, užžele mišku.
1857 m. Nerimi plaukes grafas K. Tiškevicius apraše dešiniojo Neries kranto kalna, kur velniai sau kampa išsirinke. Žmones ji Velniakampiu (Djabli-kat) vadina. Pasakojama, kad ant šio kalno
raganos puotas keldavusios...

Cache is small plastic box with "regular" cache contents: pens, log book and SWAG stuff. FTF I suppose will find "suitable" item also.
