Now THIS Is A Puzzle Cache! Mystery Cache
bogonghazy: Finally had a chance to look over the site.
Unfortunately, vandals have jumped on and heavily damaged a couple of shrubs, revealing the hide.
I hope to replace this one with a trad, and renew the puzzle box(If I can find another one, I bought this one in Nepal) in a less harmful site.

This cache contains various small puzzles, some easy, some near impossible.
It has been moved to better cover after the previous shrub perished
This cache brings you to Darley Park, the home of the Darley Devils Football Club. I've already placed 'Adventure Playground' at Maddingley Park, where Bacchus Marsh play footy, so it's only fair to place one at the other oval.
The site of the cache is at the
DARLEY PARK NATIVE GARDEN
Features:Rare Eremophilas and Grevilleas not commonly seen in gardens
Many other attractive plants suitable for dryland gardens
Spectacular Hakeas make a show in spring
In 1993 funding was obtained to commence the establishment of an Australian native plant garden in Darley Park, Bacchus Marsh. The intention was to develop a unique collection of Australian native plants that would be able to survive in an area of low rainfall. At this stage the park was used for sporting facilities only.
The original concept was to establish gardens on all borders of the park, but funding was sufficient only to establish the north east area of the park. In 1995, the Darley Gardeners Group was formed to maintain the gardens. Since then, this small group of volunteers has continued to not only maintain the gardens but to expand them, with the aim of establishing gardens on all park borders. Considerable progress has been made towards this aim.
The overall concept of the Darley Park Gardens is to provide a unique collection of Australian native plants in a format completely open to the community. The established areas have pathways and seating for the public with free access. The diversity of plants has aroused the interest of local and other gardeners from outside Bacchus Marsh, and it is hoped that the extension of the native plantings will entice more locals and passers-by into the gardens. Recently the Rotary Club of Bacchus Marsh carried out an extensive planting of Australian native plants on the other side of the roundabout. This planting of almost a kilometre in length has enhanced the area as an example of Australian flora.
As the theme for plant selection is the ability to survive in a dry area the gardens are an example of plants available to the public that suit the needs of water conservation. as well as providing shelter and food for native fauna and displaying a variety of foliage/flower shape and colour. As a bonus the gardens have become a source for the collection of seed and cuttings by the keener Australian native plant enthusiast.
The use of mulch (bark and stone) throughout the gardens and the lack of watering systems provide an example of good gardening practice to all visitors, hopefully encouraging home gardeners to establish gardens suitable for our environment. Planting has continued in recent years, to maintain the original planting area and to establish new planting areas. The focus has continued to be on plants suitable for dry areas.
Now onto the cache.
You are looking for a 1.2L sistema painted to blend with the surroundings.
It's a bit of a licorice allsorts.
First and foremost, it's a traditional IF you know how to open the log-box. Easy enough to locate with one set of coords.
HOWEVER, it's also a puzzle cache, because it's full of puzzles, including the container for the logbook. Anyone who has managed the recently archived 'Captain McAllister's Treasure Box' by the Spruce Mooses, will have no trouble with this one.
I do encourage all to have a good crack at opening this container, but I must stress, it can be opened by a 3 year old using only 2 fingers.
OK, due to the amount of friendly-fire damage to the previous log container, I've now deposited the solution on how to open it inside a sealed plastic bag in the cache. But try to resist the urge to 'cheat' until you've had a try at opening the puzzle-box.
There is a seat around the corner from GZ where you might like to spend a bit of time trying to solve the various puzzles inside. All I ask is that your swaps are in keeping with the theme, and of similar value. Good luck
If the main gates in Fitzroy St are closed, you should be able to access the site from Raglan St.
