Geocache Description:

Located in the Manly Corner Natural Area.

After several years of geocaching we’ve compiled a small list of caching pet peeves. Some of these are (in no particular order): cheap containers, micros in spruce trees, obscure hides after a long hike, obscure hides after a long drive, caches with nothing interesting to see or learn, parking lot caches, caches with no pencil, and useless hints. We swore we would never hide a cache with any of these traits. Well, never say “never”, because except for the fact that it’s not in a parking lot, this cache has no redeeming characteristics at all, other than a smiley. Satellite reception can be erratic, too. Oh well, at least it’s not a puzzle! Don’t forget to bring a pencil, because there's no room for one in a bison tube.

The Manly Corner Natural Area is most easily accessed from the northeast (park in the Lakewood Estates subdivision, Twp Road 540, west of Highway 43). Total length of the hike to find all four caches is just over four kilometers.
