Welcome to beautiful Hayes State Park! Whether here for a day or a
week, there's plenty to do here, fishing, boating, caching and
camping. There's a fee to enter the park, but we hope we placed
enough caches to make it worth your visit!! And, if you can't
tackle them all in one day, there's always camping or even a
mini-cabin!
A nice litle stroll down a paved road which used to lead back to
the old campgrounds (I wish they still used this area for rustic
camping, it's a nice area), this trail leads on back to the channel
connecting Round and Wampler's lakes, and a great view of Round!
This trail is easily accessed by wheelchair or stroller, but the
cache location likely isn't, so we did use the 1.5 terrain
listing!!
