The Final Keeper Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have had no contact with the cache owner since my last note and there has been no notes posted to the cache page in that time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

This is the FINAL cache placed in a 6 cache series. Please read below for more about the series. This cache is not at the posted coordinates. To find and open the cache the first 5 stages must becomplete.

***NOTE***
You are gathering the numbers to a combination lock. To open the lock standard combination lock procedures apply. 2+ times past the first number to the right, 1 time past the second number to the left (stopping on it the second time), and then to the last number to the right (without passing it).

Rumor has it that this guardian is a trickster and can be found laughing at you from his perch. He is more clever than the guardians before him... much more clever. The location of this guardian is not known, but it is rumored the other guardians of these woods will give up clues. However, even after gathering the clues to his whereabouts his treasure is not easily taken. Unlike the other guardians he does not hide his loot nearby (but he does always keep an eye on it). His eyesight is keen and even at a distance of 50m he can be watching exactly what is happening to his stash.

For The Final Keeper you can park pretty much anywhere around the Irving station on Cow Bay Road. The path is in behind the Irving station and used to be straight into the woods. There is now a house that interrupts the path for a few meters and you'll have to navigate around that property. It is pretty easy to do once you see what you're dealing with. This trail is MUCH nicer than the trail for the first 2 so don't sweat. It should be dry 95% or more of the trail and what little water you find won't be a threat.

If you are after the series I recommend finding caches in the order listed. It will save you from back-tracking more than needed. Caches Guardian #1 and Guardian #2 are best accessed from the Graveyard on Caldwell Road. While the trails are all connected it will likely be easier for you to park near the Irving station on Cow Bay Road for Guardian #3, #4, #5, and The Final Keeper. When finding the caches some will contain part of a combination and some will contain coordinates. You WILL need this information if you want to be able to find and open the last cache. I have started the final cache off with a TB and a Geocoin but forgot the FTF prize. I'll mail them a Tim's gift card or something for their troubles.

PLEASE leave the 'Guardians' alone, you don't need to move them to access the caches. Also, it would be appreciated if you re-hid the caches the way you found them.

Other caches in this series are:
Guardian #1
Guardian #2
Guardian #3
Guardian #4
Guardian #5

Have Fun!

I'd also like to give a special thanks and acknowledgement to TropicalParadise. They donated some swag and helped me hide every one of these caches.
