Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, which are only for parking. The object you seek, however, can be found within 1000 feet of the posted coordinates.

To find the cache, you will have to visit the object indicated by the arrow in the image below. The coordinates for the final will be derived by answering some questions about the object. If you did the original MCP - then and now, this should be a breeze. I rated the difficulty 1/2 star lower since the object you are looking for is fairly large.

This object has been neglected and it makes me a little sad when I come here, but I thought those who haven't seen it should while it is still standing.

Once you figure out where the object is you may want to use google earth to check the coordinates. The coordinates from the source site seemed a little off to me. The object is not oriented to true north, so as a reference, what I refer to as the south side is the side closest to the road, and the east side has a four digit number on it. Note: the recently installed signs are actually all in the wrong locations currently so do not use those to determine north/south/east/west - use south for the side towards the park road

The final cache is located at N40 15.ABC W74 38.DEF where:

A=the second digit found on the east side of the object
B=Year the Mercer County Park commission was founded 19B4 (Richard J. Coffee was instrumental)
C=number of doors/windows on the east side + number of R's on the west side
D=size of the tract farmed by the Schielke family until 1931 = 9D acres
E=number of grave markers within the small walled-in area to the east of the object
F=the fourth digit found on the east side

--The sum of A through F equals 29--

The final cache container is a peanut butter jar wrapped in camouflage tape and is hidden a short distance away in another area that has changed significantly in the last ?? years. Those trees sure grow fast! I have left some information about the object in the cache...please do not remove it from the container. If you would like a copy of the information, contact me and I can email a jpeg or pdf of the article to you.

There is a good chance that you will see deer in the area, particularly if you arrive late in the day. They are pretty tame and are fun to observe. If you do see them, try not to startle them as there is a road relatively close by.
