Geocache Description:

Just off quiet public road, along shortest(?) public footpath in West Penwith. Overgrown but easily navigable. Care should be taken at cache site as steep drop on other side of cairn. Great views of fishing port! Newlyn's secret sacred site and Bran, Zac, Sarah and Spikes first cache!

Although on a public footpath, it's very easy to miss the start of the path as it is not signposted. Path is often overgrown so should be safe from muggles (although there is house which overlooks it somewhat). The path is only about 50m long but is worth searching out for the view alone! Care should be taken with dogs and small children as there is a big drop on the other side of the Cairn.

The rock was supposed to have been visited by the devil, but many claim was sacred to Bucca, the ancient sea deity and source of the local inhabitants nickname!

Bran and Zac left some bubbles a jelly monster and a crazy bone figure and are looking forward to reading the comments and seeing what gets left by visitors! Good luck!

UPDATE 17/5/2010:
Replaced log book, and placed log book in plastic sandwich bag.
