Back by popular demand is the Canoe/Kayak event Pirates of the
Potomac. You will need a Canoe/Kayak/Boat etc... to attend this
event. The event will start at 10:30am rain or shine!
The Food:
This year I will be heading to the event location a day early to
camp and set up. I will be taking a full size grill out this year
and will supply burgers and hotdogs. It will be B.Y.O.D (bring your
own drink) as usual. If anyone wants to bring any deserts that
would be much appreciated also. Remember you will be bringing this
desert out to the island via boat where there are no tables or
chairs, so think cookies and brownies.
The
Raffle:
Also this year I will be holding a raffle with tickets available
for 1/$1.00 or 6/$5.00. The raffle will include unactivated
geocoins, travel bugs, premade cache containers, and an inflatable
Coleman sit-on-top Kayak with two aluminum paddles as a grand
prize. I will be donating all profits from the raffle to the
MSG.

Watch:
Due to the large amount of rain this year I am giving a link to a
website where you can check the water levels of the Potomac at the
event spot. I know the river will be in great shape by event time,
but if its not the event will just turn into a tailgate party at
the boat ramp so no worries.
