About half a kilometer down a gravel road off Route 480 to the town of Burgeo water supply area. There is a parking area near a set of three power transformers a short distance from the entrance to the gravel road. Mostly dry with a little wet ground as you near the cache site.
The cache is located on a hilltop overlooking Long Pond which was dammed in the early 1960's to serve as Burgeo's water supply.(Note the cache name.) Follow the gravel road to the end then take a short hike up a steep hill. Nice easy walking until the last little bit. Cache is a 500 ml plastic bottle wrapped in camo duct tape. Contains the usual stash note, logbook, pencils, and sharpener. Also includes a small FTF button, and a few trade items.
