This cache is located in 60 beautiful acres of Hobbs Woods. It is located off of Hickory Rd. and County Rd. B. There are also three other caches here. PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB THE CAMO WHEN RETRIEVING.
This cache is off of the main trail that goes around the perimeter of the park. This place has a high volume of muggle activity. I have also posted several bajillion mosquitoes to protect this cache from muggles. Unfortunately, they cannot tell the difference between you and them.
I have introduced my special students to geocaching as a way of getting off the couch and into nature. They have been real receptive and have enjoyed "the hunt." We have been gathering items for our container to place in this cache. Every year, for the past several, we have been meeting a naturalist from the Horicon Nature Preserve to do a program on birding. Bring your binoculars and enjoy.
The trails are only muddy when it rains, while it rains, and after it rains. The muggles almost always spend their time down by Parson's Creek that runs through the center. Pets are welcome here and a mountain bike could be used to get to this cache except for the final 100 feet or so. However, bikes do rip up the trials. The terrain varies.
The park closes at 10pm and opens at 6am.
No Al-K-Hol after 8pm. No midnight FTF runs.
It is no longer winter friendly when the mosquitoes are off duty.
