In the past, I've posed a
number of cryptic puzzles to lead you to caches and, as a rule,
these have all worked around a theme and have been "fair play"
puzzles where "fair play" means that you should be able to
find an answer by research or careful consideration of the puzzle,
cypher, code or other clues.
This puzzle, however, has no
theme other than mens sana in corpore sano -- that is, a
healthy mind (strengthened by exercise such as this) in a healthy
body (the exercise being to find the actual cache) with these
riddles (which are definitely not "fair play") to test your mental
muscles following by a pleasant walk (we hope) to exercise your
body.
So, this said, here are the
very unfair riddles for your mental challenge:
If I dig a hole 2 feet square
and 2.5 feet deep, how many cubic feet of dirt is in the
hole? A = ?
If there are a dozen oranges
in a stack and you take away three, how many will you
have? I = ?
When a man faints, what number
will restore him? D = ?
From what number can you take
half and leave nothing? E = ?
If 2 is company and 3 is a
crowd, what are 4 and 5? G = ?
I am a three digit
number.
My tens digit is five more
than my ones digit. My hundreds digit is eight less than my tens
digit.
What number am I?
The last digit is H = ?
How many times may 20 be
subtracted from 100? J = ?
Solve the missing numbers in
this sequence: 8..B..4..9..1..C..F..3..2..0
The actual cache is a small,
army green, metal ointment can; approximately 4"x3"x1" and is
located at:
N HEº AJ.AHC' / W JDDº HF.HFD'
