Geocache Description:

This cache is dedicated to Mr. William Bennett who called this ranch home. The sign is located on the south side of the ranch, near the entrance.

Mr. William G. Bennett

Mr. William G. Bennett, born 16 Nov 1924 as the son of an Arizona rancher. Served in the Navy as a "Dive-Bomber" pilot during WWII. From 1965 to 2002, he served either as an executive, chairman or owner for a dozen gaming properties: Sahara Tahoe, the old Mint, the Sahara, Circus Circus, Circus Circus Reno, Slots O’ Fun, Silver City, Excalibur, Luxor, the Edgewater and Colorado Belle in Laughlin and Circus Circus Tunica in Mississippi. In 2001 Forbes Magazine estimated Mr. Bennetts wealth at $675 Million. He gave millions of dollars to UNLV, and other schools and charities around the valley. Mr. Bennett enjoyed remote control model airplanes and even had a small airstrip built on his ranch, which is where you will find the cache. Mr Bennett died 22 December 2002.

This is a desert area, watch for snakes, glass, nails, transients and off-roaders.

Congratulations to Clay4 for FTF.
