Geocache Description:

A lovely walk (fairly steep) up from Burrator Reservoir. Multi-cache based on the Gruffalo story - the 1st clue is listed below in the long description. If you want to go straight to the final cache, the coordinates are at the end of the incripted hints.

This is a multi - cache based on a walk through the famous children's story called the Gruffalo.

To start - to get to car park; turn left when you get to the lake (don't go over the bridge and about 100 metres on you will see a waterfall and stream - this is where the trail starts.
Coodinates for car park N50 29.807 and W4 02.680

1st Clue below (from the Gruffalo book)

"A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood. A fox saw the mouse and the mouse looked good. Where are going to little brown mouse? Come and have lunch in my underground house. You are looking for fox's underground house - coordinates N50 29.800 W004 02.717

The rest of the clues will be revealed as you go along - i.e. fox's house holds the clue to the next (which is Owl's tree top house'.

For kids, you may want to download and print the map we have scanned in (see gallery or my log with picture attached) - with this they should be able to follow the trail without GPS.

Final cache contains:
- Log Book and Pen
- Trackable bug (obviously called Gruffalo by the kids) - ref 8FQ3QV
- Medal for 1st finder
- Small toys to swap; including (at present) Hannah Montannah cards, kids pencils, football whistle, finger mupets, bouncy ball, girls braclet

Please leave each 'clue-cache' and the main cache as you find them. And please leave something if you take a 'swap'. Cheers John, Sarah, Olivia and Peter.
