[PT] Moinhos de Vento
Engenhos do passado que laboravam aproveitando as forças da natureza, os moinhos de vento mantêm-se hoje como um importante legado na história da região algarvia. Com o objectivo comum de moer os cereais, os moinhos de vento aproveitavam a força da brisa.
Sempre no cimo dos montes, em lugares bem expostos ao vento, construíam-se os moinhos de paredes circular em alvenaria caiada de branco, prova de limpeza e boa conservação, e tecto em forma de cone, para não perturbar o rodar das velas.
Espalhadas pela serra, e esporadicamente no barlavento litoral, actualmente estes locais oferecem vistas panorâmicas privilegiadas sobre o Litoral Algarvio. Vêem-se hoje, nestes sítios, as ruínas destes moinhos de vento, outrora apetrechados com úteis velas de lona e boas mós que trituravam o milho e o trigo com que se fazia o pão e que, durante séculos, marcaram os tempos da abundância cerealífera do Algarve
[PT] A Cache
A Cache é um pequeno recipiente rectangular contendo um logbook, um lápis, um afia-lápis e uma lupa. Por favor, não retirem a lupa já que é um objecto residente da cache .
[PT] A Localização
Não é fácil chegar até à colina. O melhor caminho é seguir os waypoints mencionados abaixo. É possível fazer ½ da viagem de carro até da estrada mais próxima (P1), mas é altamente recomendável que a aproximação final (cerca de 665m) ser feita a pé, de bicicleta, ou em veículos todo o terreno porque a estrada é íngreme e tem uma superfície mista e muito irregular. Algumas secções estão alcatroadas, mas outras têm gravilha e terra solta enquanto que algumas secções estão em terra mais compacta e firme.

[EN] Wind mills
Devices of the past that worked utilizing the forces of nature, the wind mills still remain today as an important legacy in the history of the Algarve region. With a common aim to grind the grain, the windmills took advantage of the strength of breeze.
Always on top of hills, in places well exposed to wind, these were built up in circular walls of white masonry Caiada, proof of proper cleaning and maintenance, and the roof into a cone shape, not to disrupt the running of the wind sails.
Scattered in the mountains, and sporadically in the barlavento coast, now these places offer privileged views on the Algarve coast. What can be seen today, on these sites, are the ruins of windmills, once equipped with useful wind sails on canvas and good millstones that grinded the corn and wheat with which the bread was made and, for centuries, marked the abundante cerealific times of the Algarve.
[EN] The Cache
The Cache is a small rectangular container container a logbook, pencil, sharpener and a magnifying glass. Please do not remove the magnifying glass from the cache as it is a resident object.
[EN] The Placement site
It is not easy to get up the hill. The best route is following the waypoints mencioned below. It is possible to make ½ of the journey to the nearest road by car (P1) but it is highly recommended that the final approach (about 665m) be made on foot, bike, or on off-road veichles because the the road is steep and has a mixed surface. Some sections are in rough tar, others in loose gravel and some sections in fairly solid gravel.
