For many decades, scientists have been eagerly searching for evidence of dinosaur remains in a picturesque area on the west coast of Sweden. One devoted man, Professor Steephill of the Museum of Natural History in London, came desperately close to finding an answer to the question that eludes us all... Did ever the Sterganosaurus roam the hills and muddy marshes where there now is a small, quaint town? The mystery remains...

Professor Steephill disappeared on his mission many years ago, and the last sign of life is a recording his wife received on the answering machine:

Hi Esther, Amazing things are happening! Today is the day. I will either meet my maker or make my fortune. If I don't make it back after this last excursion, I hope to almighty god that someone will find my log book and continue my work. If you don't hear from me again, contact Dr. Tunnell and he'll take over.

Professor Steephill never returned, and his wife never did pass on his research. Dr. Tunnell died the same year Professor Steephill disappeared, drowned in a pool of muddy water, after being knocked in the head with a spray can by renegade graffiti hooligans. Professor Steephill's research was forgotten, lost to the world, until his beloved wife Esther died. She had kept all her husband's notebooks, but they are impossible to understand. Professor Steephill enciphered all his work and only he and the late Dr. Tunnell knew how to decode it...

Today, believers all over the world are united in finding the truth:

Mr. Plissken: But how are we ever going to find out where to start? We can't just walk around all over Sweden in search of some damn bones!
Dr. Waters: Mr. Negativity! There must be some clues hidden in Professor Steephill's notes! All we have to do is to crack the code!
Mr. Plissken: But how are you going to decipher it? This is impossible!
Dr. Waters: [Typing furiously on his laptop computer] Hey, it's PHP-code on a UNIX system! I know this!

People from all walks of life are coming together as one, working toward a common goal: finding the remains of the mythical Sterganosaurus. The search for the truth has come to a stand still, and Dr. Waters and Mr. Plissken are calling out to geocachers from all over the world, to join them in their quest. Find Professor Steephill's last log book that was lost so long ago! It is the only way to crack the last piece of the code and finally find the elusive fossils of the Sterganosaurus.
