Follow the Yellow Brick Road Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Um: I think its time to let this one go. It's been wet and now missing, as often happens in the spring clean up of the area. I'm teaching in Scotland still and not in Canada to fix it or work with students in the area, so I'll leave the pond in Picture Butte open for someone else to place a cache!

Geocache Description:

If you follow the yellow brick road (or just the regular road) past Dorothy's school you will find a cache placed by the Grade 5 class in Picture Butte.

The Grade 5 class at Dorothy Dalgliesh School in Picture Butte has been using GPS and geocaching to learn more about latitude and longitude through out the school year. They have been solving math problems to get coordinates, placing caches for the classmates to find, and learning in a new hands on way. This cache was made by the class as part of their GPS project.

The cache itself is a small camo taped container with small toys and prizes. It is along a nice path around the Picture Butte Reservoir, enjoy a stroll. Two travel bugs are moving along, and a new Dorothy Dalgliesh Flip travel bug is setting out on its adventures! No FTF - trying to teach the kids the value of the exercise and learning experience not the prizes involved.
