In Reid Park is a structure named the Georges DeMeester outdoor performance center. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find a nano sized cache somewhere nearby...
It may be hard for some to believe, but there is more to life than geocaching. My purpose in placing this cache is to invite those who participate in one of my favorite pastimes to come enjoy another.
Every spring and fall, the Tucson Pops Orchestra puts on concerts in Reid Park on Sunday evenings. They play orchestrated versions of pop songs & golden oldies, along with Broadway show tunes, movie music, and light classical favorites. There are six concerts in the spring starting on Mother's Day, and four concerts in the fall starting on the second Sunday of September. Admission is free, so bring every member of the family willing and able to sit quietly and enjoy great music. Bring camp chairs and a picnic, too. The show starts at 7pm, but the earlier you arrive, the better your choices in seating locations is going to be.
I've been attending concerts here ever since I found about them in 2002, and so far I've only missed three. If you are planning to attend and would like to say hi, drop me a line and I'll send you coordinates indicating my probable location before and during the performance.
I don't recommend trying to find this cache after noon on concert days. The park staff will be preparing for the show, and while the park administrators know about the cache, their minions probably don't. Civilian muggles are going to be around, too. Also, remember the park is open from 6 am to 10:30 pm.
