Geocash Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

inspicio: One or more of the following has occurred:

No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future, just contact a reviewer (by email), and assuming it still meets the current

guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

Should you replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

Cache Information:

  • The co-ordinates for this cache are bogus. If you go there you will find a nice beach with a nice view, but no cache.

  • To find the final location for the Geocash cache, you must first find six animals which are attached to travel bugs. Each bug will be constantly moving to different host caches as players attempt to find the correct co-ordinates.
Each animal will provide you with part of the information you will need to find Geocash.

  • The animals are easily identifiable from the tail side of Australian coins and are called Opossum, Frilled Lizard, Echidna, Lyre Bird, Platypus and Kangaroo. This is the only reference to money in Geocash.

  • You will need to track down the location of the appropriate travel bug and then visit its host cache. It may be in a new cache, a cache that you've already visited or it may even be in one of your own caches

    Rules:
  • If you are playing for Geocash, you are requested to move any travel bug you find. You are also requested to log your finds against all the travel bugs before logging your find to Geocash.
  • Please log your find against the travel bug as soon as possible so that too many other cachers do not search in vain. Also, please log the fact that you have taken the travel bug in the paper log book
  • Finders are requested (not obliged) to place the travel bug in a different cache (within 30km of Manly, NSW) and log it on the system within 48 hours of picking it up.
  • If you find and place the travel bug within one trip, don't forget to take a note of the travel bug number so that you can log it when you get home
  • Each player may only move each bug once
  • Each of the animal travel bugs must not be placed in the same cache as one of the other animals and obviously must not be placed in Geocash
