Geocache Description:

A well known local cacher, Brian of BrianDiane is well known for has ambiguous caches, and complicated logic.

Whether it is trying to find tripartite objects, or calculating just where the centre of our great city lies, Brian's caches often leave the local community to ponder in slack-jawed confusion.

As confusing as these puzzles can be, I still enjoy them, as I know many others do. RitchieD once attempted to place a revenge themed tribute to Brian, however he later archived it, saying that it wasn't quite ambiguous enough. I hope that my attempt adequately captures the enigma that is Brian-esque logic.

The Stamp is a part of this cache, and is not a trade item. Please leave it in place
As always, you will need to bring your own ink.

The cache is, of course, not at the posted co-ordinates. I would however suggest going to them.

Although you can see a parking lot from the posted, I recommend parking at either Victoria Island, or the parking lot further to the West. It's illegal to park in the lot that you can see, without a valid permit

The posted co-ordinates are for a bench. From that bench, you should easily spot a large wooden object.

Standing with your back to the wooden object, careful observation (perhaps with binoculars) should allow you to spot a man, who could be blamed for the disappearance of many caches around the world. You will need to go to him.

Choose your route to meet this fellow carefully, however, as you will need to climb a large staircase along the way.

Count the number of stairs on this large staircase.

Once you find the man, you must find a phrase which might cause a non-Latinist to grab, and pulverise a cosine curve. Count the number of letters in this Latin Phrase. Subtract one from this number. You will also need to know the most recent date on the statue.

From here, Head in the direction of Parliament Hill. You will climb another set of stairs, and as you're doing so, take note of the number of flags to your left. Once you reach the top of these stairs, you will easily spot a tower. Count the number of black bands on this tower.

As soon as you can, meet with the victor of the Battle of Waterloo, at the foot of a street named for the Pan-Celtic God Lugh.

In which year was the cornerstone for building #344 laid?

On crossing over to an island, you will likely notice a relief, featuring a number of soldiers. What is this number? In what year was the artist born? Immediately behind this sculpture, how many pillars can be found on the island?

From here, continue on until you meet the son of Ernest I, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Even though you may be on foot, you must obey all of the traffic signs at this intersection. Continue along until the next intersection. Turn left, and in one further block turn right.

In this block, you will find a bus shelter. Somewhere in this shelter, you will find a number that might bring to mind the name 'Rosaire.' Subtract 54 from this number, and call it 'AP.' Why AP? There was a reason, but the old number now no longer works. The required math gives you the old number, and 'AP' still applies. For the record, Rosaire had the same profession as AP does now.

After you locate this number, continue up to a street named for for the father of a fellow named 'Erskine'

As you stand at this street, turn and walk down the entire length of a street that might remind you of people such as Mark Cohon.

As you reach the end of this street, you should see a bridge which overlooks something that I think looks like it would be fun.

Standing on this bridge, mark a waypoint, and adjust it to N45 xx.x97 W075 xx.x44

By now, you should have gathered a total of ten numbers. Add them together in order to get a four digit number. Take the digital root of this number, divide it by 2, and call it A.

From the bridge, the cache is located 0.AA miles away, along a bearing of 193 degrees.

As for the bearing reference - True? Nope! Magnetic? Not quite! You will need to select the 'User Defined Declination' option for your North Reference. Adjust your GPS to read bearings with a magnetic declination of 0AP degrees East

The cache is located in a slightly Brian-esque location. I had originally intended to hide it in another tree, however with my recent discovery of a homeless fellow living in that tree, I decided to move it to this one.

Now - Who will be the FTF? I take it that I know what Brian is doing during his lunch hour tomorrow
