Geocache Description:

A short two stage multi cache.

To get the coords for the Final stage you will need to walk out to the end of the Boardwalk, overlooking the Peace River.

At the coordinates on the cache page you will find two signs. They will help you solve for "A" & "B".

The Final is located at: N 27° 49 "A" W 081° 48."B".

For "A", locate the sign with a map. Count the number of counties shown on the map and multiply that number by 47. For "B", locate the sign with photos of insects. Count the number of insects shown on the sign and multiply that number by 66.

The eastern portion of the Mosaic Peace River Park is within the floodplain of the Peace River. The original boardwalk consisted of 1782 lineal feet. Restrooms, picnic pavilions and ADA parking are also available near the boardwalk. The entry road was paved, and the paved parking lot and stairs accessing the parking were added in the year 2000. Approximately 3,000 additional lineal feet was added to the boardwalk and opened to the public in December of 2008. The first segment continues the existing boardwalk westerly back to park entrance road at the picnic shelters/handicapped parking, restroom area. The second segment proceeds northerly from the existing boardwalk towards the Peace River and then heads in a westerly direction to exit at the park entrance road. An extension to the boardwalk at the Peace River with a handicapped accessible viewing and fishing area is included along with six (6) viewing areas with benches. There is no access to the river from the boardwalk and there are no canoe or boat launching facilities from the park property. Construction of a canoe launch is scheduled to begin on the Peace River in Homeland, which is in close proximity to the Mosaic Peace River Park. The Charlotte Harbor Natural Estuary Program provided a $3,000 grant which was matched by the Friends of the Parks Foundation to provide interpretative signage at twelve (12) areas along the new boardwalk extension.
