Come join us for the very first CITO event in a
Cook County forest preserve. We've chosen the much loved Thatcher
Woods for this historic event. The Forest Preserve District of Cook
County will be providing work gloves, trash bags, the required
permit and possibly stickers (a sharp stick for picking up
trash).
When:
Saturday June 13, 2009 from 9:00AM to
11:30AM
Be
Prepared:
Wear sturdy clothes; jeans, boots and long sleeve
shirt. Apply bug spray and sunscreen to protect yourself. And bring
your own work gloves and trash grabber if you have them.
Event
Agenda:
9:00AM we'll meet up in the main parking lot, sign
the log book, receive a ticket for the door prize drawing and
receive instructions regarding where to head to in order to
maximize your trash collection efforts. Be sure to bring the trash
to the area of a trash can preferably in the main parking
lot.
11:00AM pose for a group photo. We're here to make
a difference but we also want to demonstrate to the FPDCC that
Geocachers are a positive influence on their land.
11:15AM we'll have a door prize raffle. There will
be geocoins and other items.
