Geocache Description:

CALLING ALL CACHERS

 

It is that time of year again where the SCGA comes together and celebrates another year.  That is right this will be our 2nd anniversary event.  Two years ago some of the local cachers came up with a name and an idea.  We held our inaugural event on July 3rd 2007 where we had nearly 100 people in attendance.  This is where we unveiled our logo along with the forums and website.  Here we are two years later and still going strong.  There have been many changes in the past couple of years on the Space Coast.  The SCGA is recognized all around the state as a very active group of cachers that love the game.  There have been many events held throughout the area including many C.I.T.O. events to give back to the game.

 Now for the event.  This event is moving to July 5th this year as we expect it to be larger than the previous years.  We are planning a fun filled afternoon for all who attend.  The event will start around 5 pm on Sunday afternoon and will go until just before dark.  We will be cooking Pork and Chicken on the grill.  We ask that you log what you will bring to share.  Please pay attention to the following so we can keep a handle on what is brought.  
Food:
 
  • If your caching name starts with the letters A - F please bring some type of dessert.
  • If your caching name starts with the letters G - L please bring some type of non alcoholic drink.
  • If your caching name starts with the letters  M - R please bring some type of bread product.
  • If your caching name starts with the letters S - Z please bring some type of  side dish.

All of the meat, plates, cups, utensils and ice will be provided by the SCGA.  

We will have a table set up for trackables for everyone to share and trade.  We will also have a few prizes to give out to some lucky attendees. Check out the FORUMS for more information on what will be going on during the event.  

As with any caching day...come prepared, you never know what we might have up our sleeve for a fun little game.  

This event is open to anyone and everyone.  No matter if you live on the Space Coast or not you are welcome to join us in our celebration.  Whether you are a newbie just getting started or a seasoned cacher  you are welcome to join us.  This event is sure to be a lot of fun and you wont want to miss this one.  We hope to see everyone there.
